For hundreds of years, students were taught in one room school houses. Sometimes these schools were born out of necessity from a lack of resources in rural areas, but the benefits of those one room school houses were, and are, great. They can offer multi age learning, plenty of time outside, and allow for parents to have a say in what their children are learning. This is the type of education that I believe is so beneficial to our children and what I dreamed to create in our little valley four years ago. We are not a school, but we are inspired by the one room schoolhouse style of learning in our enrichment classes.
